Overview
The Whop embedded checkout lets you place a full Whop payment experience directly on any ClickFunnels page. Customers can browse plans and complete their purchase without leaving your funnel. The checkout is built in the Whop checkout builder at design.whoponboarding.com and embedded into ClickFunnels via a simple HTML code element. You can set up a single pricing plan or multiple plans side by side, with custom labels, descriptions, prices, colors, and a custom call to action — all before generating your embed code.Part 1: Build your checkout in the Whop builder
Step 1 — Open the checkout builder
- Go to design.whoponboarding.com.
- Click Start Building and then open the Builder.
- This is where you design your embedded checkout — selecting plans, colors, labels, and call-to-action text.
Step 2 — Get your Plan ID from Whop
You need your Plan ID from Whop to connect the checkout to your product pricing.- In your Whop dashboard, go to Checkout Links in the left sidebar.
- Find the checkout link for the plan you want to embed.
- Click the three dots (…) on the right of that link and select Details.
- Copy the Plan ID shown (format:
plan_XXXXXXXXX).
You need one Plan ID for each pricing option you want to show in the embedded checkout. If you have multiple plans (e.g. monthly and annual), copy the Plan ID for each one.
Step 3 — Configure your pricing plans in the builder
Back in the Whop builder, add your plan(s):- Click Add a Pricing Option and paste your Plan ID into the field.
- To offer multiple plans side by side, click Add Another and paste the second Plan ID. You can preview how they look in real time as you add them.
- Label each plan (e.g. Test 1, Test 2 — or names like Monthly, Annual, Lifetime).
- Optionally add a description and a display price for each plan. If you leave these blank, the checkout will render without extra text.
- To remove a plan option, delete it from the builder.
Step 4 — Style the checkout
Once your plans are configured, customize the appearance:| Option | Details |
|---|---|
| Color theme | Choose from the available color options to match your brand or page design. |
| Custom call to action | Optionally add custom button text or a CTA above the checkout. Leave blank for a clean embed with no extra text. |
| Layout | The checkout renders as an iframe. You control where it sits on the page in ClickFunnels — any column, row, or section. |
Step 5 — Generate and copy the embed code
- Scroll to the bottom of the builder.
- Click Generate Embedded Checkout Code.
- Copy the entire code that appears — this is your iframe embed code for ClickFunnels.
Part 2: Embed the checkout in ClickFunnels
Step 6 — Add a custom HTML element
- Open your ClickFunnels page editor and go to the section where you want the checkout to appear.
- Click Add Element.
- Select the Custom JS/HTML element (under the HTML or Code section, depending on your ClickFunnels version).
- Click the element to open the code editor.
- Paste your embed code into the editor.
- Close the code editor.
Step 7 — Enable third-party embed codes
This setting must be enabled for the checkout to render.- In your ClickFunnels page settings, find Third Party Embed Codes.
- Turn this setting on.
- Save your page settings.
Depending on your ClickFunnels version, this option may not appear — if you don’t see it, you’re likely already set. If the checkout shows as a blank space, enable Third Party Embed Codes; that’s the most common reason the checkout doesn’t display.
Step 8 — Save and preview
- Save your ClickFunnels page.
- Click Preview to see how the checkout looks in context.
- The Whop checkout iframe will appear where you placed the HTML element.
- You can drag and reposition the element, place it in a specific column or section, and design the rest of your funnel around it.
Using multiple plans
If you added more than one Plan ID in the builder, your embedded checkout will show multiple pricing options side by side. Each option shows the label, description, and price you set, with a button to select that plan and proceed to payment. Use this for tiered pricing (e.g. Basic vs Pro), billing frequency (e.g. Monthly vs Annual), or installment vs paid-in-full — all in one embedded checkout on one page.| Option | Details |
|---|---|
| Single plan | One Plan ID added. Checkout goes straight to payment for that plan. |
| Multiple plans | Two or more Plan IDs added. Customer chooses their plan before entering payment details. |
| Labels | Custom labels help customers tell plans apart at a glance. |
| Descriptions & prices | Optional display fields — leave blank for a cleaner look, or fill in for clarity. |
Frequently asked questions
The checkout is not showing up — just a blank space. What do I do?- The most common cause is Third Party Embed Codes not being enabled. In page settings, enable it, save, and reload the preview.
- If it still doesn’t appear, check that the embed code was pasted correctly and that no extra characters were added.
- Yes. The checkout embed is just an HTML element — you can place it anywhere alongside headlines, images, testimonials, or other elements.
- Use ClickFunnels column and row layout tools to position it where you want.
- Yes. Add each plan’s Plan ID in the builder. Each plan can have its own label, description, and display price.
- The actual amount charged is always controlled by the plan settings in your Whop account.
- No. The embed code uses your Plan ID, and the Whop checkout always pulls live pricing from your Whop plan settings.
- Regenerate the embed code only if you change which plans are included or update the visual styling.
