These buy now, pay later options let your customers pay off their purchase over time while you receive the full payment at purchase. Sezzle is the exception: Sezzle orders settle on a 15-day basis.

1. Afterpay / ClearPay

Overview: Afterpay (known as ClearPay in the UK) is a leading financing option for mid-ticket offers, designed for fast, low-friction checkout. It has strong brand-name recognition, high consumer trust, and wide adoption among US and UK customers.
  • Supported countries: USA, UK, Australia
  • Maximum amount: $4,000 for US; £1,000 for UK; A$2,000 for AU
  • Checkout link currency: Must match the customer’s region — USD for US, GBP for UK, AUD for AU
  • Maximum term length: 12 months
  • Payment options: Pay in 4 (four equal biweekly installments over six weeks, interest-free) or Pay Monthly (6 or 12-month financing with APRs from 6.99% to 35.99%)
  • Requirements: Works with credit and debit cards
  • Approvals: starting around 600 credit score

2. Splitit

Overview: Splitit is a buy now, pay later option for higher-priced plans and international customers. It doesn’t require a customer credit check. Unlike most BNPL options, Splitit uses a customer’s existing credit card and available credit limit to divide purchases into monthly installments. Splitit doesn’t require another application or external credit check. Buyers can use monthly, interest-free installments as long as they have available credit on their card.
  • Supported countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA, and the European Union
  • Maximum amount:
  • Maximum term length: 6 months (up to 12 months with approval)
  • Requirements: Customers need an existing personal credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover) with enough available credit. Debit cards and business credit cards aren’t accepted.
  • Approvals: No credit score requirement – based off existing lines of credit on cards
  • Funding terms: 0% interest and no fees for buyers
Splitit places a temporary hold on the full purchase amount on the customer’s card. The hold falls off within 3–5 business days.

3. Klarna

Overview: Klarna is a global buy now, pay later provider offering flexible payment options, including Pay in 4, Pay in 30 days, and long-term financing for larger purchases. It has strong brand recognition and can support both US- and EU-based customers.
  • Supported countries: USA, EU, UK, CA, AU
  • Maximum amount: $10,000 for USA (see international limits in table below)
  • Maximum term length: 24 months
  • Approvals: starting around 600 credit score

4. Sezzle

Overview: Sezzle is a buy now, pay later platform that gives customers flexible ways to pay. Options include Pay in 2, Pay in 4 interest-free installments, and longer-term monthly financing for larger purchases.
  • Supported countries: USA/CA
  • Maximum amount: $2,500
  • Maximum term length: 24 months
  • Approvals: starting around 550 credit score
  • Funding terms: No recourse for defaulted plans, zero-interest options available
  • Settlement: Funds from Sezzle orders settle on a 15-day basis before they’re available in your balance

5. ZipPay

Overview: ZipPay is an ideal buy now pay later option for shorter plans and lower-priced offers. Zip’s most popular product lets shoppers split purchases into 4 installments over 6 weeks, with payments charged every two weeks.
  • Supported countries: USA, Australia
  • Maximum amount: $1,500 (US); A$20,000 (AU)
  • Checkout link currency: USD for US, AUD for AU
  • Maximum term length: 4 months
  • Requirements: Works with credit and debit cards
  • Approvals: starting around 460 credit score

6. ClarityPay

Overview: ClarityPay is a financing provider designed for higher-ticket purchases, giving customers the ability to spread payments over longer monthly terms while merchants receive the full payment upfront. ClarityPay offers two financing products: Standard and No Interest.

ClarityPay Standard — term-based repayment financing:
  • Supported countries: USA and Puerto Rico
  • Minimum amount: $500
  • Maximum amount: $30,000
  • Maximum term length: 36 months
  • Approvals: starting around 600 credit score
  • Funding terms: Customer interest ranges from 10%–30% based on qualification. No recourse for merchants.
ClarityPay No Interest — 0% interest financing:
  • Supported countries: USA and Puerto Rico
  • Minimum amount: $500
  • Maximum amount: $15,000
  • Maximum term length: 18 months
  • Approvals: starting around 550 credit score
  • Funding terms: No interest charged to the buyer. No recourse for merchants.
ClarityPay payments can show as pending on your dashboard after the customer is approved. The payment shifts to succeeded the following day.

7. Scalapay

Overview: Scalapay is a popular European buy now, pay later option that lets customers split purchases into either 3 or 4 installments with 0% interest. Customers can pay with credit, debit, or prepaid cards.

  • Checkout link currency: Euros only
  • Maximum term length: 4 months
  • Funding terms: Merchants receive the full payment upfront. Customers pay no additional fees.

8. Tamara

Overview: Tamara is a leading Sharia-compliant buy now, pay later (BNPL) service across the GCC region. It lets customers split purchases into interest-free installments (2, 3, or 4+ payments) with no hidden fees or late fees.

  • Maximum amount: AED 5,000
  • Checkout link currency: AED only
  • Maximum term length: 4 months

  • Funding terms: Merchants receive the full payment upfront. Customers pay no additional fees.

9. SeQura

Overview: SeQura is a European BNPL provider focused on installment payments for online education offers, such as courses, electronic books, and digital materials. It lets Spanish customers split purchases into 3, 6, 9, or 12 monthly installments at checkout.

  • Funding terms: 88% after 14 days, 12% after 12 months (varies depending on customer and merchant risk profile)

10. PayPal

Overview: PayPal offers two financing options at checkout: Pay in 4 for smaller purchases and PayPal Credit for larger purchases with longer monthly terms. Both work with credit and debit cards.Pay in 4 — short-term, interest-free installments:
  • Supported countries: USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia
  • Amount range: $30 – $1,500
  • Payment options: 4 equal interest-free payments every two weeks (6 weeks total)
  • Approvals: No traditional credit score check — a soft-pull, transaction-based underwriting decision
PayPal Credit — longer-term monthly financing:
  • Supported countries: USA, UK
  • Amount range: $49 – $10,000
  • Payment options: Monthly plans from 3–48 months, subject to approval, with potential interest
  • Approvals: A credit score of 670+ gives strong approval odds. The 620–669 range often still qualifies, usually for a smaller starting line. Approval odds drop off significantly below the mid-600s.
Checking prequalification for PayPal Credit is a soft inquiry and doesn’t affect the customer’s credit score. Submitting a final, full application is a hard inquiry and can lower their score by a few points.

11. Kueski

Overview: Kueski is a leading buy now, pay later provider in Mexico that lets customers split purchases into installments.
  • Supported countries: Mexico
  • Maximum amount: $1,500 (about MX$26,000)
  • Checkout link currency: MXN only

12. Addi

Overview: Addi is a buy now, pay later provider in Colombia that lets customers finance purchases at checkout.
  • Supported countries: Colombia
  • Maximum amount: $1,500
  • Checkout link currency: COP only

13. Native card installments

Overview: Customers in select Latin American countries can split purchases into installments directly through their credit card at checkout, with no separate financing application.

  • Terms: 3, 6, or 12 months
  • Checkout link currency: MXN, COP, CLP, or PEN
